Go Bright for Mind
This year, we're inviting schools and colleges across Burton, Lichfield, Tamworth and the surrounding areas to Go Bright for Burton and District Mind. An exciting and colourful way to make a real difference.
By hosting a fun fundraiser, you'll not only raise much-needed funds for mental health services across our region, but you'll also raise awareness about mental health in your school and get everyone talking about how we can support each other.

Whether its a bake sale with rainbow cupcakes, a fashion show with the brightest outfits, or crafting your own colourful creations, Go Bright for Mind is all about bringing energy, fun and creativity to the cause. Plus we'll be right there with you to help with every step of the way - Offering fundraising ideas, tips and a step by step guide to make it all happen.
Your Steps To Go Bright
Step 1: What?
Your first step will be deciding the activity. Whatever you pick, make it bright and shine a light on mental health?
-
Brighten up the hallways
-
Do a fashion/talent show
-
Have a bright non-uniform day
-
Get crafty
-
Cake sale
-
A fun carnival
Step 2: When and where?
We are encouraging all schools to Go bright for Mind over the next few months
Step 3: How? Choose how you will collect donations
Here are some ideas - you can use ticket sales, sponsorship forms, collection tins, an online fundraising page, like Justgiving or display a QR code at your venue.
Step 4: Get your materials
We can provide posters, banners, flags, bunting and collection boxes. Email -> Fundraising@burtonmind.co.uk
Step 5: Shout out!
Promote, promote, promote! Visit the national Mind charity’s fundraising hub where you can find useful toolkits, posters, and templates. They can also provide an assembly presentation that explains more about Mind and young people’s mental health. This is a great way to promote the cause and get the word out about your fundraising. Email jo.smith@burtonmind.co.uk; for help.
