Thank you, Kaleidoscope Choir!

From all of us at Burton and District Mind, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Kaleidoscope Choir for their donation of £930.09! This now brings them to an amazing total of £2000 raised to support the work that we do here at Burton and District Mind.

Raising such an amount is truly an achievement, and we are so grateful for the kindness and commitment shown by everyone at Kaleidoscope.

Our Fundraising Officer Jo Smith said the following, “I just wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for you all raising a generous donation of £930.09. It’s truly humbling to know that you chose our charity to support, and we are so thankful for your kindness and commitment to our cause. The warmth and welcome we’ve received from all of you has been amazing.

This donation carries even more meaning as we remember your dear friend Helen, whose memory continues to inspire all of us. We are so grateful that you’ve chosen to honour her in this way. Its clear that this just the beginning of a wonderful, ongoing partnership and we look forward to continuing to build this meaningful relationship. Thank you so much for your generosity!”

Helen Klich worked for Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust until her retirement – as Involvement Facilitator and in other roles over 25 years, she was an incredible champion of what we used to call ‘the service user voice’.

Helen was an active member in the Lichfield based women’s community choir, Kaleidoscope. They were very keen that Helen’s support of people with mental health problems continued as a lasting legacy to her. They were generous in their donation of £250 for our charity’s services.

Echoing Helen’s commitment, we will make use of the funds by further enabling our involvement offer to our participants; perhaps the funds will support people with mental health problems to attend services or projects or get that one thing that they need but cannot access through other means to make their life easier. Further to this, the Choir are dedicating their fundraising over 2024 to supporting Helen’s Bursary further.

Kaleidoscope Choir’s Fundraising has been done through their wonderful events which our team has thoroughly loved attending. One such event was the Concert back in September that saw a fantastic total of 100 people in attendance and a vast variety of songs.

We truly look forward to seeing what event the Kaleidoscope Choir do next!

Thank you so so much for your support, it truly means the world to us and makes a big difference as we continue to push for the mental health support of our local community.
